Seminar Teaching Assistant

• Salary up to $20,205
• Experience teaching and facilitating discussions with first-year and first-generation college students
• Opportunity to develop and run professional development workshops

• Partner with PEOPLE College staff to develop curriculum for COUN PSY 115: PEOPLE First Year Seminar
• Instruct two sections of COUN PSY 115, including teaching and grading
• Host weekly office hours in-person at the PEOPLE College Success Center
• Develop and run two professional development workshops per semester
• Support College Success Center programming as needed

• Must meet enrollment minimum as outlined in the Enrollment Requirements Policy
• Experience teaching or facilitating small and large group discussions
• Experience working with first-year college students and/or first-generation college students
• Knowledge of topics related to first-year student experiences and resources for transitioning to college
• Knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy development

• Experience with student academic advising and/or mentorship
• Demonstrated ability in planning or coordinating curricular or co-curricular programs for students
• Knowledge and/or experience with Canvas or related instructional technology
