Job SummaryTeach Chem 103 (General Chemistry I), Chem 104 (General Chemistry II), or Chem 109 (Advanced General Chemistry). Duties include preparing course materials, presenting lectures, preparing, administering, and grading exams and homework, holding office hours, and other related duties.
This is a 50% appointment for the Fall 2026 semester. The position may be extended for subsequent semesters to teach General Chemistry or similar courses within the department.
Key Job Responsibilities- Facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
- Serve as an initial point of contact for students regarding specific course or series content and expectations
- Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction

CompensationThe minimum salary for this position is $50,000 per academic (9-month) year, full time (100%). The actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and prorated based on the appointment duration and percentage.
Required Qualifications- Previous experience teaching chemistry in a college/university setting
- Previous experience teaching chemistry at the college/university level
PhD in Chemistry or related fields is required.
