Schedule: Lead Tutors are expected to be on site at their designated MMSD site at least 2 days per week. A minimum amount of coordination and planning can be conducted remotely or from the Morgridge Center for Public Service.
- Student status: must be directly enrolled in a course.
- Work Study eligible students only.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with school and program staff to support tutoring and mentoring efforts.
- Commitment to the values of equity and responsible community engagement.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
Job Duties
- Coordinate site‑specific activities with the designated MMSD liaison.
- Support tutor team: coordinate travel, facilitate monthly team reflection sessions, conduct individual check‑ins with tutors as needed.
- Tutoring/mentoring: expected to be on site at least twice a week.
- Support Morgridge Center: attend Center trainings and team meetings, including fall orientation (September 12 & 19), monthly tutor leader meetings, reflection sessions, workshops, and trainings.
