Dakota State University is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Alumni Relations Officer to join our team. This is an excellent role for a professional who is ready to make an impact by supporting alumni engagement and strengthening lifelong relationships between graduates and DSU.
Responsibilities- Develop, plan, and implement engaging alumni events and programs that connect former students with current campus life and fellow alumni.
- Create and maintain communication channels with alumni through social media, newsletters, and university publications.
- Collaborate with various campus departments to highlight alumni achievements and strengthen alumni engagement with university initiatives.
- Assist in identifying, recruiting, and managing alumni volunteers and ambassadors for events and university outreach.
- Represent the university at events and gatherings, serving as a confident and dynamic spokesperson.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Creativity and innovation in developing programs and outreach efforts.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to groups of various sizes.
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with alumni and other stakeholders.
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
