Minimum Annual Compensation: $52,154 (25-26 TE Salary Schedule)

Contract Length: 192 days

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use standards (CCSS, SELS, Language) to identify common learning targets that represent what all students should know, do, and understand as a result of the instruction.
  • Use knowledge of students’ backgrounds, interests, styles, cultures, languages, individual needs, and assessment data to inform planning.
  • Develop daily and weekly plans to support student growth toward mastery of standards.
  • Create common year-long/course plans that identify essential questions and resources to support student learning.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
  • Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations to build engagement, collaboration, and independence with complex tasks.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Provide daily opportunities for students to describe reasoning, share explanations, make conjectures, justify conclusions, argue from evidence, and negotiate meaning.
  • Define and plan formative assessments to show evidence of learning.
  • Use multiple ways to check for student understanding and clarify, reteach, or adjust instruction based on gathered information.
  • Provide meaningful feedback that reinforces effort, recognises achievement, and promotes student involvement and progress.
  • Offer opportunities for teacher‑to‑student, student‑to‑student, and student‑to‑teacher feedback both orally and in writing.
  • Analyze data and adjust instruction based on student achievement, observations, and teacher practice data.
  • Establish rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible.
  • Meet with parents/guardians to discuss students' progress and determine priorities and resource needs.
  • Collaborate with all staff to support student learning, e.g., team planning and co‑teaching.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree. Official transcripts required for formal employment.
  • Outstanding teaching license in Math (1400) or a Regular Education license (1777, 1088 or 2088) covering the grade level(s) being taught.
  • Alternative:
    Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license in Broadfield Science or Science (1601, 1634, or 2600) or a Regular Education license (1777, 1088 or 2088) covering the grade level(s) being taught.
Licensure Requirements
  • Applications considered on a rolling basis; fully licensed candidates prioritized.
  • Unlicensed candidates must obtain and maintain the necessary license(s) within 30 days of start date; failure to do so will result in contract voiding.
  • The district does not provide financial support for required licensure education and does not endorse a particular certification program.
  • Unlicensed candidates may be considered if hired by a school district and then apply for a One‑Year License with Stipulations with DPI.
Working Conditions
  • Work may require travel within the district and to off‑site meetings.
  • Position may require working evenings, nights, and some weekends.
  • Some positions may allow hybrid work flexibility; details discussed during interview.
  • School‑based positions are required to be in‑person unless otherwise directed by the building principal.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work under generally safe conditions with minimal exposure to environmental factors.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and to walk, sit, stoop, or reach.
  • Manual dexterity necessary to complete general tasks while operating office equipment.
  • Ability to perform work in various indoor and outdoor environments, including inclement weather and unair‑conditioned spaces.
