• Use standards (CCSS, SELS, Language) to identify common learning targets for all students.
• Apply knowledge of students’ backgrounds, interests, cultures, and assessment data to guide lesson planning.
• Develop daily, weekly, and year‑long course plans that outline essential questions and resources.
• Establish clear lesson objectives and communicate them to students.
• Instruct students using varied methods (lectures, discussions, demonstrations) to promote engagement, collaboration, and independence.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Provide opportunities for students to explain reasoning, share ideas, and justify conclusions.
• Plan and use formative assessments to gauge understanding and guide instruction.
• Use multiple checks for understanding and adjust instruction based on gathered data.
• Give constructive feedback that reinforces effort and encourages progress.
• Offer teacher‑to‑student, student‑to‑student, and student‑to‑teacher feedback orally and in writing.
• Analyze data and adjust instruction to improve student achievement.
• Set behavioral expectations and maintain classroom order.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and resource needs.
• Collaborate with staff on planning and co‑teaching initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree; official transcripts required.
• Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license in Regular Education (1777, 1088, 2088) covering the grade level(s) taught.
• Fully licensed candidates are preferred; unlicensed candidates may be considered with a pending application for a one‑year license.

• Travel to various district locations and off‑site meetings may be required.
• Work may involve evenings, nights, and occasional weekends.
• Some positions allow hybrid flexibility; details discussed in interview.
• School‑based positions are in‑person unless directed otherwise by the principal.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and perform tasks such as walking, sitting, stooping or reaching.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments throughout the year, including inclement weather and varying temperatures.
• Maintain manual dexterity while operating office equipment and staying stationary for extended periods.
