Teach Chem 103 (General Chemistry I), Chem 104 (General Chemistry II), or Chem 109 (Advanced General Chemistry)
Duties include:
- Preparing course materials
- Presenting lectures
- Preparing, administering, and grading exams and homework
- Holding office hours
- Other related duties
This is a 50% appointment for the Fall 2026 semester. There is a possibility this position could be extended in subsequent semesters to teach General Chemistry or similar courses, within the department.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Facilitating classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
- Serving as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
- Developing instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction

Compensation:
The minimum salary for this position is $50,000 per academic (9-month) year, full time (100%). The actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and prorated based on the appointment duration and percentage.
Required qualifications:
Previous experience teaching Chemistry is required.
Preferred qualifications:
Previous experience teaching chemistry at the college/university level is preferred.
Education:
PhD in Chemistry or related fields is required
