The School of Information Studies (SOIS), the iSchool at the University of Wisconsin‑Milwaukee (UWM), invites applications for a Lecturer position in Information Science & Technology. This is a 9‑month instructional academic staff position (Teaching Faculty II) with a competitive salary and full benefits. Optional summer teaching for additional compensation may be available. This appointment will be on a yearly renewable contract, based on satisfactory performance and SOIS instructional needs.
SelectedApplicant Responsibilities
The selected applicant will be expected to teach at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level in one or more of the following areas:
- Networking
- Web application development (e.g., PHP)
- Information security
- Data analysis
- Project management
- Machine learning applications
- Other relevant information technology‑related areas may also be considered
The standard teaching load will be four classes per semester. It is expected that the incumbent must be able to start by Fall 2023.
