- Prepare for and deliver instruction and perform teaching-related activities.
- Manage the classroom/laboratory.
- Develop curriculum and monitor and revise as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
- Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
- Assess student performance and advise students on academic issues.
- Collaborate with advisory committee in program area.
- Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
- Promote the education/training program, participate in efforts to recruit and retain students, and participate in efforts to market MATC.
- Support student organizations and activities.
- Develop relationships with business and industry.
- Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
- Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have completed a registered apprenticeship in the Electricity Trade.
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of full-time or equivalent (14,000 hours) occupational experience in the electricity trade as an apprentice or journey level electrician in construction and/or industrial maintenance, or a combination of both. Up to two (2) years of occupational experience in commercial or industrial electrical system design can be counted toward occupational experience.
Additional Experience Requirements- Three (3) years of occupational work experience must have occurred within the last five (5) years; or
- Two (2) years of teaching Electricity coursework at the post‑secondary level within the last five years.
- Apprenticeship certificate from Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards or equivalent.
- Current license as a Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician from the State of Wisconsin.

- Email – Experience with an email system (Gmail, Outlook)
- Telephone – Experience with a voicemail system
- Computer – Experience with Microsoft Office Suite/Google
- Online Information Management Systems – Experience with Self‑Service or other online information management systems used for student advising, student programs, grading, class schedules and rosters.
- Blackboard Ultra – Experience with Blackboard Ultra, or other web‑based course‑management systems.
- Technology‑based Instruction – Experience with technology‑based instructional delivery systems including SMART symposium, interactive touch screen monitors, LCD projectors, DVD players and/or other classroom technology.
- Emerging Technologies – Experience with social networking applications.
This position supports the Manufacturing, Construction, and Transportation Pathway and is available to start in the Fall of 2026.
Hours & WorkloadFull‑time position. Minimum workload of 32 hours per week. Course load, location, and schedule will depend on course availability and college need. Position is multi‑campus. All work must be conducted in Wisconsin.
SalaryAnnual salary is determined based on education and years of relevant experience and assigned to appropriate salary class and step. Compensation is prorated based on start date.
