Overview

Tech Ed Teacher at Schulte K-8 Campus

Schulte Middle School is looking for an innovative educator to lead our dynamic Tech Ed program. This position offers the opportunity to teach three engaging, semester-long courses that bring the real world into the classroom.

Key Course Offerings
  • Engineering and Prototyping Spark student creativity through the engineering design process. In this course, you will guide students through multiple hands-on design challenges and utilize the NC3 Dremel 3D Printing curriculum to bring their ideas to life.
  • Construction and Fabrication Lead a fully project-based classroom focused on the pride of craftsmanship. Students will learn the fundamentals of the construction trades, proper tool safety, and gain a basic introductory understanding of welding.
  • Transportation and Automation Help students explore the technology that moves our world. This course combines mechanical skills with modern technology, introducing students to the basics of small engines alongside the real-world impact of coding and automation.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct students to the best of their ability within the curriculum plan adopted by the Board.
  • Utilize the services of the Division of Instructional Services and their building principal to continually improve instructional technique.
  • Participate actively in committees that deal with planning, research, curriculum, public relations or other professional activities; attendance at building and District faculty meetings is part of the responsibility.
  • Exercise proper supervision and care over all furniture, books, supplies and equipment; instruct students in the care and proper use of school property; report any abuses.
  • Maintain classroom control and keep the principal informed; seek assistance when necessary.
  • Manage and supervise all students; specific assignments outside the classroom may be given by the principal.
  • Open and close the school sessions or class schedules punctually at designated hours.
  • Acquaint themselves with and enforce the rules and regulations of the Board.
  • Observe pupils to determine defects hindering learning and report them to the principal.
  • Prepare lesson plans, records and reports as required by the principal or central office.
  • Work cooperatively and communicate with parents as needed in the best interests of students.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to spend up to 70% of the day walking.
  • Able to walk or run quickly through hallways and stairwells in an emergency situation.
  • Stand for prolonged periods; respond to active crisis situations and support student movement.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Communicate effectively on the telephone and in person.
  • Move throughout the building and between buildings.
  • Operate computer keyboard and other office equipment; dexterity and hand/eye coordination required.
  • Hearing ability for conversations in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to work in an environment with background noise and interruptions.
  • Maintain concentration and focus on timely tasks; ADA accommodations available as needed.
