Job Summary
The University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, Clinical Practice, Innovation and Research (CliPIR) Division invites applications for a 12‑month tenure‑track Assistant Professor (or Associate/Full Professor with tenure). The faculty member will develop an independent research program, teach Pharm.
D. and graduate students, mentor students, and contribute to the Health Services Research in Pharmacy (HSRP) graduate program. Faculty will also serve on school and university committees and engage in interdisciplinary research and service.
- Teach Pharm.
D. courses in areas such as health services, pharmacy management, medication safety, quality improvement, ethics, and elective pharmacy courses. - Teach and mentor graduate students in the HSRP program.
- Develop an independent, externally funded research program in your area of expertise.
- Publish and produce scholarly work, establishing collaborations and sustaining a program of scholarship.
- Serve on school and university committees and professional organizations.
- Participate in the School’s strategic initiatives and community outreach.
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in public health policy, health services research, pharmaco‑epidemiology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated potential for an independent, externally funded research program and teaching at the Pharm.
D. and graduate level (assistant‑professor rank). - For associate or full professor: sustained extramural grant support and a record of research, scholarship, and teaching that meets UW-Madison tenure criteria.
- Expertise in large data science, pharmaco‑epidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, health systems research, or related priority areas.
- Methodological skills in quasi‑experimental and observational designs, qualitative and mixed‑methods research, large datasets, biostatistics, implementation science, or clinical trials.
- Experience in mental health, substance use, older adult care, AI in pharmacy, or related strategic growth areas.
- Demonstrated mentoring of underrepresented scholars and ability to form public/private sector collaborations.
- Excellent written, oral, and team‑working communication skills.
Negotiable salary with a 12‑month term. Benefits include vacation, holidays, paid time off, health insurance, savings plans, and retirement through the Wisconsin Retirement System.
