Key Job Responsibilities
The candidate will participate in the School of Veterinary Medicine's research, teaching, and service programs. Specifically, the individual will be expected to conduct independent extramurally funded research in an area related to the application of AI to improve animal and human health; participate in courses for veterinary medical, undergraduate, or graduate students in relevant disciplines; train graduate students and postdoctoral fellows;
and provide academic service to the Department, School of Veterinary Medicine, and University. The individual will also be expected to interact with faculty across campus in relevant disciplines. The approximate distribution of effort will be 70% research, 20% teaching, 10% academic service. Individuals with NIH K awards will commit 75% research effort during the award period.

Terminal DegreePhD, DVM/VMD, MD or equivalent in veterinary medicine, animal sciences, biomedical sciences, computational sciences, or a closely related field by the start date of this position.
Salary and Start‑up PackageThe School of Veterinary Medicine makes a strong 12‑month salary commitment to its faculty. Salary and a start‑up package will be commensurate with the rank and experience of the successful candidate.
