Early Childhood Teacher
Madison College is expanding childcare services at the new Early Learning Center located at the Goodman South Campus and is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join the team.
The Early Childhood Teacher creates a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment while providing developmentally appropriate learning experiences and fulfilling school district contract requirements for a four-year-old kindergarten classroom.
This position involves supporting each child's individual development, maintaining accurate assessments, promoting health and well-being and building positive partnerships with families.
The Early Childhood Teacher also provides guidance to classroom staff and supports the use of best practices to deliver high-quality early childhood education.
Position Details:
- Schedule:
40-hours a week, 52-weeks a year. Monday through Friday during operational hours 8:00am to 5:00pm. - Benefits:

Accountabilities:
- Leads the four-year-old kindergarten classroom by implementing curriculum in alignment with district contract requirements and completes all required documentation to enhance childcare offerings.
- Develops and implements learning experiences by co-planning activities that support children's growth, fostering a classroom environment that encourages developmentally appropriate learning and socialization.
- Supports individualized child development by addressing cultural, socio-economic, emotional and physical needs to adapt teaching methods to each child's learning style and pace.
- Maintains health and safety standards, completes routine classroom cleaning and follows sanitation protocols for food preparation, toys and bedding to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Ensures accurate and up-to-date child assessment records by documenting observations and developmental progress to inform lesson planning and communication with parents.
- Builds positive partnerships with parents by exchanging information through informal conversations, newsletters and conferences to support children's development both at home and in the classroom.
- Provides guidance by offering support and supervision to student workers, interns and student teachers to enhance their learning and classroom effectiveness.
- Performs other related duties within the scope of the position as required for the efficient operation of the division and to support institutional objectives.
