St. Ambrose Academy is seeking a Learning Services Specialist with a background in math and/or foreign language to support students with learning differences, particularly dyslexia, in Geometry and foreign language.

This role includes co-teaching, individualized support, and developing dyslexia-friendly curriculum. The ideal candidate is passionate about inclusive education and skilled in multi-sensory instruction.

• Co-teach Geometry and foreign language with classroom teachers
• Support students with Learning Support (LS) plans through differentiated instruction
• Develop dyslexia-friendly curriculum using Math and foreign language texts
• Incorporate multi-sensory teaching strategies (auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic)
• Create instructional videos, reference charts, and modified pacing guides
• Provide weekly one-on-one support sessions for students
• Assess student progress through homework, quizzes, and tests
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and resources

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Background in math and/or foreign language (instructional experience preferred)
• Experience working with students with dyslexia or learning differences
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

• Experience with Geometry and/or foreign language
• Secondary classroom or co-teaching experience

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic, willing to make an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium, whose life of faith serves as an example to our students and families.
