Vera Court Neighborhood Center has been serving the Northside Madison community since 1994. We
provide many services, including academic support and enrichment through our youth programs.

Mondays 1-5:30, Tuesdays 12-6, Wednesdays 2-5, Thursdays 12-6.

• Enrollment or experience in higher education.
• Experience working with youth in any setting.
• Experience with basic data collection and entry.

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to demonstrate cultural competence in youth work and the willingness to grow this skill.
• Knowledge of or willingness to develop skills in foundational math instruction.
• Strong understanding of foundational math skills (e.g. basic addition and subtraction, place value,
  multiplication, division, and fractions).

Seeking a math tutor to work with elementary and middle school students during after school
programming at our center. Tutors work with students 1:1 or in small groups to develop their foundational math skills and foster a love of math. Tutors should have a positive attitude toward math and use initiative in creating and leading fun math lessons. All training and supplies will be provided.
Potential to support in middle school math classrooms.

Ability to be active with youth when playing math games.
