Student Services Coordinator

Madison College is seeking a Student Services Coordinator to join our collaborative, supportive, people-first team. This position provides frontline support to adult education students as they navigate college and career opportunities, serving as the first point of contact and a central resource for career navigation, post-secondary credential exploration, the foreign credential evaluation process and support service referrals. Success in this role involves fostering a welcoming environment, accurately assessing student needs and facilitating timely access to appropriate resources and services.

This position contributes to institutional objectives by enhancing the student experience, promoting equitable access and supporting the effective delivery of student services.

The School of Academic Advancement provides Adult Education opportunities for adult learners in our community through High School Completion (GED/HSED), English as a Second Language (ESL), Development Education/College Readiness and Integrated Education and Training (IET) programming.

We are looking for someone who brings a student-centered mindset, strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, along with a collaborative approach to their work. In this role, you will partner with School of Academic Advancement faculty/staff, as well as cross-functional teams across Enrollment Services, Academic Advising, Career and Employment Services, Disability Services, Financial Aid, and other areas, gaining broad exposure to campus resources while playing a key role in improving student access, engagement, and success.

Position Details:

• Schedule:
  
  This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks out of the year, with core hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional evenings or weekend hours depending on school-related events.
• Benefits:

• Grant-Funded Position:
  This position is funded through an annual grant. The current funding period extends through June 30, 2027, with funding anticipated to be renewed annually.
• Location:
  
  This position is located at our Goodman South branch campus. Limited travel to other branch campuses is expected.

Accountabilities:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for adult education students, including GED/HSED, English as a Second Language (ESL), and developmental education learners, providing timely assistance and connecting students with appropriate college services, resources and supports.
• Conduct student intake and onboarding by assisting with account creation, placement testing guidance, appointment scheduling and program exploration, while identifying students' educational and career goals to support individualized next steps.
