This role may be filled at the Apprentice or Journey level dependent upon qualifications. Residency Requirements:
Travel time from your primary residence to your assigned headquarters must be 60 minutes or less under normal driving conditions. Job Summary Performs varied control and instrument, and basic mechanical and basic electrical maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain the generation facility to which they are assigned. What you will do
- High School Diploma or GED
- Journey level in the instrument and control trade
- Completion of a State Approved Apprenticeship Program
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Employees in this job classification are covered by the Residency Policy and will be required to live within 60 minutes of one of the following locations:
Columbia, Edgewater, Riverside, or Madison.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
- Possesses skills in basic electrical and basic mechanical
- Ability to work from blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with steam plant cycles and operations
- Must possess technical ability
- Knowledge of company safety rules
- High degree of mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Strong leadership ability
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
