Key responsibilities
  • Perform electrical acceptance and maintenance testing.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot power systems, including switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • Collect data from electrical equipment.
  • Ensure equipment and systems are safe and reliable according to NETA standards.
  • Conduct start-up procedures for new electrical equipment.
Required skills and qualifications
  • NETA level 2 or 3 certification
  • A strong understanding of electrical theory, testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation resistance testers), and electrical safety procedures
  • Familiarity with NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards is often required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and good communication skills are essential.
