As a Specialist - Outside Plant (OSP) Analyst I, you will provide outside plant project support for a geographic area, along with analytical preparation of records, statistics and reports relating to OSP functions. This will also include, but not be limited to, support for outside plant engineering (OSPE) and/or construction (OSPC) efforts. The position will work closely with engineers and construction personnel to ensure that outside plant projects are completed on time, in scope and on budget.
This may include monitoring and management of scope, budget, timeline, installation and integration. The position will be based in Madison, Wisconsin with an opportunity to telecommute from a home‑office.
- Analytical preparation of records, statistics and reports regarding outside plant functions.
- Examine project documentation related to outside plant functions to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
- Provide support to engineering and construction personnel by collecting and verifying data required to complete outside plant engineering and construction tasks.
- Maintain data integrity of certain outside plant related tools.
- Evaluate and recommend changes in method and procedures in assigned area of responsibility.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to peers and assist onboarding.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) - OR - 4+ years professional work experience.
- 4+ years of utility construction experience - AND/OR - engineering experience.
- 1+ years of analytical experience.
- Other Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, GIS and the ability to learn new tools as they are deployed.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Organized, self‑motivated, detail orientated, analytical, able to work with minimal supervision.
- SAP experience/knowledge.
- Ariba experience/knowledge.
- Project management experience/exposure.
- 2+ years of telecommunications experience.
