Your impact

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of the Jacobs’ organization. This role plans and supports a variety of assignments related to project delivery and strategic growth of the group to position Jacobs for success. Working with other members of the team, you’ll perform a variety of activities, ranging from coordination of ongoing projects, support of project progress through a gated execution model, team communication and training, document management, stakeholder coordination and other activities to support Project Managers.

Applicant must be detail oriented with a strong focus on upfront project planning activities including project set up and maintenance, materials management, permitting support, land and right of way support, document control, gated execution process. The Project Engineer/Assistant PM will update project documentation files and logs, maintain project governance documentation, distribute, and track approvals on project files and information maintained and update databases, process vendor data, interface with company personnel and with clients, as well as mentor and assist co‑workers and customers.

Setup Construction Manager and construction team for success. Drive internal and external disciplines to complete project deliverables and actions. All options should be explored to move the project forward at the highest pace possible.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Project Team Engineers and T‑Line EPC, T‑Line Eng Contractor, T‑Line General Contractor, and Substation EPC to align deliverables with project schedule. Advise PM and scheduler on changes.
  • Coordinate with Construction Manager on Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Coordinate with Quality members on Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR).
  • Investigate available information to allow the PM to make informed decisions on Change Requests, for design, cost, and schedule.
  • Provide a brief weekly report summarizing completed activities, planned work for next week, and any blockers to this week or next.
  • Reporting to Project Manager (PM) on project progress, risks, and other requirements.

The base salary range for this position is $99,000.00 to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
