We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take this UW‑Madison born technology and lead the hardware evolution of a 95%+ efficient machine that uses less than 1% of the copper of traditional motors. What you will do:- Strong participation with others in the engineering team to establish short- and long-term goals in line with company’s objectives
. - Direct the creation of engineering documentation of products while establishing and/or improving design standards with focus on DFM.
- Drive the development process in connection to company’s product roadmap.
- Support R&D activities by providing mechanical engineering support to R&D projects.
- Sustain a continuous improvement to reduce product cost and improve product quality.
- Ensure critical product design information is secure while readily available to users.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university (required),
Master’s degree - (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in mechanical engineering developing and designing electro‑mechanical products, preferably electric motors or other rotating machines with strong emphasis on the following aspects
- Experience managing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience with FEA in modeling heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and structural analysis.
- Proven experience in bearing analysis, reliability, MTBF and life calculations of other rotating components like seals, gaskets, etc.,
- Past hands‑on experience in designing and developing aluminum and plastic molding for large volume production components.
- Prior experience and proficiency with Solid Works

Experience with
Altium or other electrical CAD systems is a plus.
