Responsibilities

- Design commercial and utility-scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), and microgrid projects ranging from 100kW to 100MW+.
- Create and develop engineering drawings and electrical designs using AutoCAD and related engineering software.
- Develop and analyze energy production and power system models using tools such as PVSyst, Helio Scope, SKM, and ETAP.
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, vendors, and stakeholders throughout all phases of project execution.
- Support permitting activities, project documentation, and design change management processes.
- Improve AutoCAD standards, workflows, procedures, and overall engineering efficiencies.
- Research, test, and evaluate electrical systems and components while supporting continuous professional development and industry best practices.
- Associate's degree in Applied Science, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience in computer drafting/design utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Preferred 3 years of experience supporting electrical power systems within renewable energy, industrial, consulting, or professional services environments.
- Experience supporting Solar PV, BESS, microgrid, or other utility-scale renewable energy projects is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, methods, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) preferred.
- Proficiency with computer-assisted engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, MATLAB, PVSyst, Helio Scope, or similar tools.
- Salary Range: $69,607 - $88,638 annually.
This salary range reflects the anticipated base salary for one to five years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be placed at a level that is commensurate with the candidate's relevant years of experience, education, and technical expertise.
