Position Summary
These positions are located in the Environmental Management Division, in the Water Quality Program's Wastewater Section, and is responsible for plan review of proposed sanitary sewer extensions and small wastewater holding tanks, as well as data management and maintenance within the Wastewater Plan Review Database. This position will report to the Central Office Wastewater Section Manager.

A. Review and approve plans and specifications for sanitary sewer extensions and small wastewater holding tanks.
A1. Review projects as assigned by the Wastewater Section Manager for completeness and compliance with administrative code design requirements.
A2. Follow-up with municipal officials, regional planning commissions, DSPS, and engineering firms to obtain all required information and address non-compliant aspects of plans.
A3. Issue approval letters and prepare documents for record retention.

B. Manage and enhance wastewater databases by uploading project information, contact information and other related data.
B1. Develop and maintain electronic files and ensure that the DNR plan review database is current.
B2. Work with senior plan review staff to identify and implement database improvements.

C. Conduct reviews of industrial WPDES permits
C1. Review industrial WPDES permits for conformance with applicable code requirements.
C2. Research issues impacting permitted industrial facilities in Wisconsin.

D. Other wastewater assignments, as assigned by Wastewater Section Manager.
D1. Attend section meetings and trainings, as assigned.
D2. Other tasks as assigned by the Wastewater Section Manager.
Salary Information
These positions pay between $ per hour and are in pay schedule and range 15-04. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation plan.
Job Details
These are Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions and will not automatically lead to permanent state employment or be entitled to the same benefits as permanent employees.

Special Requirements :
1) Residency:
To be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.
A Wisconsin resident is a person who:
a. Has established a residence, as defined in s. 6.10(1), in this state not less than 10 days earlier;
b. Has resided in this state for not less than a total of one year out of the immediately preceding 5 years;
c. Is eligible to register to vote in this state; or
d. Is the spouse of a person meeting the requirements of par. (a), (b), or (c)." s.), Wis. Stats.

Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications below, the selected candidate must be eligible to drive a state vehicle and meet the following criteria:
* Have a valid driver's license
* Be at least 18 years of age
* Have a minimum of two years licensed driving experience
* Have not had three (3) or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past two (2) years
* Have no OWI/DUI violations within the past year
Minimum qualifications:
* Customer Service Experience
* Experience with problem solving/resolving conflicts
* Experience working on teams
* Experience prioritizing assigned work
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience with Environmental Sciences, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Agriculture & Natural Resources, or other relevant fields.
