We are looking for a talented CAD Technician that has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for providing support to operations on civil construction projects.

• Assist in the site development and access for electric utility projects throughout the country
• Create and update models using Trimble Business Center
• Perform Takeoff’s using Trimble Business Center
• Work with customer and field management on schedule development and assist in maintaining during the course of a project
• Able to localize a site, verify grades, collect topography and as built information
• Collect data from the field to report daily production quantities
• Assist field personnel with troubleshooting GPS equipment
• Interact with customer on project with positive long-term relationship in mind
• Overall be a support mechanism for the Project Supervision and staff
• Be willing to take on multiple projects and dedicate the time and efforts to ensure a safe and profitable project with a very satisfied customer
• Maintain informational databases, records, general data archives, or files using technical software
• Ensure compliance with company, federal, and state codes

• Extensive computer skills to include Acrobat, Microsoft – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Trimble Business Center and Share Point
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs
  
  Proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Able to travel to various project locations
• Proficient with reading civil drawings and understanding Geotech reports
• A.S. in Civil Engineering Technology
• 1-3 years’ experience in a civil and/or utility electrical construction environment
