Job Description:
TPV-Mule Systems Integration Engineer
- Integrate new hardware and software components (EDS/Wiring, Modules, MUX signals, and Translator Boxes) into prototype vehicles to enable full system functionality
- Perform end-to-end system bring-up activities including power-up sequencing, signal validation, and functional verification
- Electrical expertise
- Develop, obtain, and markup electrical schematics and wire harness drawings to support integration of hardware onto TPV-Mule vehicles
- Interpret complex electrical schematics and harness diagrams to support system integration, issue resolution, and design validation
- Analyze complete vehicle wiring architectures, including harness routing, signal paths, power distribution, grounding, and interface points
- Technical analysis and validation
- Collect and review Device Transmittals (DTs) from design engineers to ensure component compatibility and integration readiness
- Conduct system-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and communication issues during prototype builds
- Surrogate and compatibility management
- Select appropriate TPV-Mule surrogate components when production parts are unavailable
- Perform gap analysis and compatibility reviews between surrogate/bridging parts and Production Intent (PI) schematics and designs
- Utilize CANalyzer (and/or CANoe) for system-level communication analysis, including CAN bus monitoring, message decoding, signal validation, and ECU interaction
- Debug network-level issues across vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
- Validate ECU communication and ensure proper integration within the overall vehicle network architecture
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- 0-2 years (Junior), 2-5 years (Intermediate), 5+ years (Senior) of experience in automotive systems integration, electrical distribution systems (EDS), or prototype vehicle validation
- Strong electrical engineering background with proven ability to read, interpret, and author electrical schematics
- Comprehensive understanding of complete vehicle wiring systems, including signal flow, power distribution, and grounding strategies
- Hands-on experience with CANalyzer for system-level communication analysis and debugging
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
- Available to work overtime on weekends for the first 3 months
