Definition
Entry-level Airframe and Powerplant technician under the guidance of a Lead Technician. Inspect and repair aircraft, engines, and components and return aircraft to service.
Minimum Qualifications- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Technician’s Certificates
- Valid Class‑C Driver’s License
FAA federal aviation regulations; FAA‑approved maintenance practices; aircraft shop maintenance operational procedures; perform maintenance and repair of aircraft, engines, propellers, rotors, and components in accordance with approved procedures; determine airworthiness; inspect systems for proper operation and condition; perform confined space entry maintenance including aircraft fuel tank repairs; may perform 10–50% travel, including overnight stays, to fire bases throughout California.
Salary and CompensationThe hourly rate is $51.71 per hour. Pay may vary based on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
