Position Overview
Lead and oversee detailed design of airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, and utilities. Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of project delivery. Prepare comprehensive construction plans and specifications, contribute to project estimation and budgeting, and coordinate with clients, planners, and engineers to define scopes, develop budgets, create schedules, and prepare fee proposals.
Lead federal and state grant application and management efforts. Foster an empowered team environment by embracing individual accountability and collaborative success. This opportunity is open to candidates residing in Madison, WI.
Key Responsibilities- Design and manage airport infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
- Develop and review construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, WisDOT, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead grant application and management processes.
- Collaborate with clients, planners, and contractors to define project scope and schedule.
- Manage cross-functional project teams and coordinate deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and WisDOT projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer license in Wisconsin, or ability to obtain within six months.
- Proven success managing airport design and construction projects and leading cross‑functional teams.
- 10+ years of experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and WisDOT projects.
- Proven experience in proposal writing and client management, developing new business opportunities, and winning project proposals.
- Competitive base compensation ranging from $125,000 to $150,000 based on skill set and experience.
