Industrial Designer

• As an Industrial Designer, you’ll evaluate and analyze product requirements, objectives, and constraints.
• Assists with developing technical and functional specifications for mechanical products.
• Conceptualize and develop new products that can be effectively manufactured.
• Conducts simulations and prototype testing to evaluate product safety, reliability, and performance.
• Aid in identifying appropriate materials and processes to develop effective solutions that meet the outlined specifications and manufacturing cost requirements for products.
• Help maintain the injection mold tool status and injection mold processing spreadsheets.
• Prepares technical documents detailing designs, instructions, and specifications.
• Utilizes Solid Works and other design and modeling tools to develop mechanical manufacturing parts and/or components and communicate conceptual designs to stakeholders.

• BS in Industrial Design or a closely related field and 7+ years of design experience with injection molded plastic products; a basic understanding of injection molding principles.
• Proven project management experience from initial product planning and scope definition through delivery to customers.
• Excellent Solid Works design skills.
• Good Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator skills.
• Must be open-minded, team-oriented, clear communicator, with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new processes.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision, meet time-sensitive deadlines, keep accurate records, and work in a collaborative environment.
