Shive-Hattery is a premier architecture and engineering consulting firm headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with 16 offices across the United States. The Madison, WI office invites a Design Professional - Mechanical (early‑career Mechanical Engineer) for our Higher Education practice.

• Mechanical design of utility systems, including steam, chilled water, ventilation, fire protection, plumbing, and building automation.
• Produce detailed construction drawings using Autodesk Revit 3D modeling.
• Use hydraulic modeling and pipe stress analysis software.
• Conduct project site visits for measurements, data collection, and construction observation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, and civil engineering teams.
• Lead projects and build client relationships as career advances.

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, or fewer years while actively pursuing a Professional Engineering license.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit 3D.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling and pipe stress analysis tools.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
