Mechanical Designer

This Mechanical Designer role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative team of three designers focused on creating custom cleaning system components such as strainers, spray balls, and baskets. You will design both in 2D and 3D using Solid Works and AutoCAD, contributing to unique, project-based equipment in a clean manufacturing environment.

• Design mechanical components such as strainers, spray balls, baskets, and related parts for full cleaning systems.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using Solid Works and AutoCAD.
• Apply mechanical design and drafting principles to develop accurate, manufacturable designs.
• Work with sheet metal and other materials to design small mechanical components and assemblies.
• Prepare and revise CAD models, drawings, and documentation to support manufacturing and fabrication.
• Collaborate closely with a team of three designers and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet functional and quality requirements.
• Incorporate knowledge of materials and machine design into component and system layouts.
• Ensure designs comply with internal standards and support the production of custom equipment.
• Support continuous improvement by refining designs based on feedback from manufacturing and other departments.

• Associate degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience working with Solid Works and/or AutoCAD.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a mechanical designer.
• At least 2 years of experience designing small mechanical components.
• Strong mechanical design and mechanical drafting skills.
• Experience with sheet metal design.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $41.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Madison, WI.
