Position Summary

Engineer (Facilities).

Work schedule:

Monday‑Friday 8:00am‑5:00pm, 100% on‑site.

Location:

Madison, WI. Catalent, Inc. operates a 263,000‑sq‑ft Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility that supports advanced mammalian cell line engineering and biomanufacturing. The Facilities Engineer will address complex facility‑related problems and provide engineering expertise on utilities, building operations, and equipment selection.

• Support the utility systems facility, including HVAC, process utilities, and bio‑containment systems.
• Assess current and future state of site utility system capacity and utilization for improvement and maturity projects.
• Draft and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for building operation and maintenance.
• Provide engineering guidance and execution on facilities projects.
• Perform hands‑on activities to troubleshoot facility problems and support facility staff.
• Drive continuity and development of facilities engineering standards to ensure smooth communication between internal resources and customers.
• Create and maintain all aspects of facility design files.
• Maintain facility compliance in accordance with the site quality management system.
• Guide the specification and selection of manufacturing and utility equipment to support site and process needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum B.S. degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or related scientific/engineering field with 3+ years of facilities operation/automation engineering experience in a cGMP environment (preferably biopharmaceutical).
• Or M.S. degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or related field with 1+ year of facilities operation/automation engineering experience in a cGMP environment (preferably biopharmaceutical).
• Previous experience leading cross‑department facility and/or site improvement projects is preferred.
• Building automation systems (BAS) experience preferred.
