Industrial Engineer
Join a pioneering team as an Industrial Engineer focused on optimizing material flow and enhancing manufacturing processes. You will manage projects involving storage and space optimization, standard workflow, material handling, and linesight planning. Your efforts will also encompass process mapping, value stream cycle time analysis, change management, and planning for every part.
Responsibilities- Manage projects to ensure correct routings for storage and space within manufacturing facilities.
- Develop standard workflows and material handling strategies.
- Plan and optimize material and work flow routes in high-volume/high-mix fabrication and assembly plants.
- Conduct process mapping and analyze value stream cycle times.
- Implement change management strategies and plan for every part.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with process mapping and value stream cycle times.
- 3+ years of experience conducting time studies.
- 3+ years of experience with planning for every part and capacity calculations.
- 3+ years of experience with Excel/ERP systems.
- 3+ years of experience using PowerBI for analysis.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in materials engineering and manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with continuous improvement, time studies, and Lean manufacturing.
- Skills in line balancing, process flow diagrams, and value stream mapping.
- Knowledge of plant layout planning and simulation.
Work in high-volume/high-mix fabrication and assembly plants, involving fabrication of plastics, raw sheet metal, and purchased components. The environment emphasizes just-in-time sequence ordering for manufacturing, transitioning from bulk material and storage line processes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $49.52/hr.
