As a key member of our Auxiliary Systems engineering group, you will take true ownership of critical mechanical systems like HVAC, nitrogen handling, and compressed oxygen. You will not just be a cog in a machine; you will be taking designs from concept through vendor fabrication, site walk-downs, and construction installation at an active, highly regulated facility. Responsibilities:- Take full ownership of critical mechanical systems, including HVAC, nitrogen gas handling, compressed oxygen, and nitrogen purge gas systems.
- Prepare, review, and issue comprehensive design packages, specifications, drawings, test plans, and calculations.
- Provide vendor oversight for procurement, reviewing design documentation and participating in Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
- Coordinate closely with the Construction team to resolve field inquiries, perform walk-downs of installed equipment, and ensure accurate installation.
- Ensure all piping routing and isometric designs meet stringent design basis requirements and our rigorous quality program standards.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant project experience in a professional engineering setting.
- A strong foundation in calculation-based capabilities with the ability to perform fundamental calculations by hand.
- Experience with hot pipe analysis and a solid understanding of the ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code.
