AboutThe Role
The Propulsion Engineer I role involves assisting in the design, development, and evaluation of propulsion systems, subsystems, and components for space vehicles, including launch vehicles and spacecraft. This entry‑level position provides an opportunity for hands‑on experience under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Assist in the design, development, and evaluation of propulsion systems and components for space vehicles.
- Help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
- Conduct tests and simulations to validate performance of propulsion systems and components.
- Document design processes, test results, and modifications for future reference.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for propulsion systems and components.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing to project planning and progress discussions.
- Follow instructions from senior engineers and work effectively in a team environment.
- Communicate technical concepts and information clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 0–2 years of experience (entry‑level).
- Basic understanding of propulsion engineering.
- Basic application of technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
- Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior engineers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Internship or co‑op experience in propulsion engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and tools such as CAD, FEA, or CFD.
- Basic understanding of propulsion system components and their functions.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Pay Range: $70,213.00 – $96,542.50. Actual base compensation will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
