The Piano Fondue Difference
Most dueling pianos gigs require you to be a roadie and a rockstar. Not here.
- We employ professional Technicians: You do not load in. You do not set up lights. You do not run cables.
- You focus on the show: Your job is to show up for soundcheck, deliver an incredible performance, and interact with the guests.
- Premium Production: You will be playing on top‑tier equipment with dynamic light shows run by a live engineer.
We are not a dive-bar act; we are a premium event service. We are looking for entertainers who can read a room and adapt instantly.
- The Clean Show: Many of our clients are corporate or family-oriented. You must be capable of delivering a high-energy, engaging show that is 100% G/PG-rated. If your act relies on blue humor, swearing, or innuendo to work, this is not the right fit.
- The Party Show: When the time is right (and the client approves), you need to be able to shift gears into a high‑octane party atmosphere.
- Conduct: We hold our staff to high standards regarding punctuality, sobriety, and client interaction. You are the face of the brand from the moment you step on site.
- Coachability: We check our egos at the door. You must be willing to accept constructive feedback and direction. We are constantly refining our product, and you must be open to notes on your performance to ensure every show meets our standard.
- Audience Integration: You aren't playing at the crowd; you are playing with them. You must be comfortable with banter, shout-outs, and leading sing‑alongs.
- Versatility: Your repertoire needs to span decades and genres. From classic Rock and current Pop to Country, Hip Hop, and Broadway. Whether it's Chappell Roan, Jelly Roll, Dr. Dre, or Wicked - if they request it, you should be able to fake it or nail it.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: You will be working alongside a full, in‑house crew (Techs, Booking Manager, Equipment Manager, Social Media). We operate as a supportive team, not a collection of solo acts.
And listen - If you have the musical chops and the energy, we can help you refine the showmanship to become a top‑tier entertainer.
- Vocal & Piano: Strong pop/rock vocal and piano capability.
- Harmonization: You must be able to harmonize with a partner on the fly.
- Stage Presence: Charismatic and engaging - you must be the Director of Energy in the room.
- Logistics: Reliable transportation and weekend availability.
- W-2 Employee Status:
Unlike most gigs, this is real employment. You are covered by Workers’ Comp and Unemployment Insurance, and we pay the employer share of taxes - this means fewer surprises for you at tax time.
- Private/Corporate Events (Non-Tipping):
$400-$600 per event (based on 2-4 hour performance times).
- Public/Club Shows (Tipping Encouraged):
$350 Guarantee + 100% of Tips.
Average Take-Home: typically $500+ per night .
- Travel Policy:
Overnight Shows: Lodging and travel pay provided.
Local Shows: Commuting to regional events (e.g., day trips/non-overnight) is included in the base performance fee.
- The No-Haul Bonus:
Remember, you are paid to perform
, not to haul gear. Your effective hourly rate is significantly higher here because your time is spent on stage, not on setup and teardown.
Please include in your cover letter a list of your live performance experience (all performance types: theater, bars, choir, You Tube, etc.) and links to video footage of you performing live.
- Note:
We specifically want to see footage that demonstrates your interaction with a crowd. Cell phone footage is acceptable.
