About the Role
The Director of Finance is responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day operation of the Finance function at the property level. This role oversees Accounting, Revenue Audit, Information Technology, Purchasing, Count, Cage, and Corporate Reporting, and serves as a key member of the property’s executive leadership team.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced finance professional with deep gaming industry knowledge and a strong command of compliance, controls, and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all finance-related departments, ensuring accurate reporting and operational efficiency
- Plan, implement, and communicate financial procedures and controls across the property
- Coordinate the preparation, review, and distribution of budgets and financial reports
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide insights to executive leadership
- Manage property cash, banking relationships, and accounts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and all state and federal regulations
- Oversee government and regulatory reporting requirements
- Actively participate as a member of the property executive management team
- Review financial performance with the General Manager, Directors, and department leaders
- Delegate authority appropriately while maintaining accountability across teams
- Support guest service escalation when required, handling issues discreetly and professionally
- Communicate critical operational information to senior staff, surveillance, and other stakeholders
- Maintain ethical standards and reinforce compliance with company policies and alcohol controls
- Support corporate and property-level projects as directed by the General Manager or CFO
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- 10+ years of accounting experience at the Controller or senior finance leadership level
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- MBA with a finance concentration preferred
- CPA or other professional certification preferred
- Prior gaming or casino industry experience is required
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
