Position Description

We are looking for a Client Service Associate to join our Private Client Group. This individual will support the firm’s client service efforts within our Private Client Group. The individual will work closely with our clients and internally with our advisors, portfolio managers, client service professionals, operations associates and other colleagues to respond to the needs of our direct clients.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should enjoy servicing customers in a professional manner, providing a high level of service and responsiveness to client requests. Essential attributes for this role are strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, a problem-solving attitude, and strong interpersonal skills. The candidate should be comfortable in an entrepreneurial and deadline-driven environment. The role requires a team-player able to collaborate with colleagues across the organization.

We are looking for someone who can contribute beyond the listed responsibilities, who is proactive and interested in learning and growing.

Duties
  • Administer client account activity including onboarding new client accounts, responding to client service calls, updating client financial plans, preparing materials for client and prospect meetings, processing IRA distributions and conversions, and managing cash flows in client accounts.
  • Resolve issues and respond to client inquiries as well as questions or inquiries from their advisors, accountants, custodians, and lawyers.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reporting including performance reports, special client reports, attribution reports.
  • Conduct internal analysis for the Private Client team.
  • Prepare client proposals, presentations and other client communications.
  • Maintain client data, documents, and correspondence in internal databases and our CRM system.
  • Assist with other client needs as necessary.
Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes/skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and interest in further education such as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA) a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in investment and financial planning industries.
  • Desire to interact with clients and service them at a high level.
  • Strong technology skills are a must, including high level of proficiency in Word and Excel. Familiarity with financial planning software a plus.
  • Interest in investments, financial markets, and private client management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to perform duties independently.
  • Ability to interact externally with a diverse set of constituents and internally at all levels.
  • Team player, working to deliver exceptional investment services to individual clients.
