Position Overview

The Universal Banker performs the essential duties of both Teller and Relationship Banker, excluding loan product offering. Responsibilities include establishing new client account relationships, processing account transactions at the teller station, completing basic account maintenance requests, and handling all branch servicing tasks such as vault balancing, cash shipment preparation, and safe deposit box access.

Key Outcomes
  • Balance Growth and Production Achievement (30%) – focus on loan origination, new checking accounts, business deposit accounts, credit cards, and convenience services.
  • Client Service/Relationship Metrics (30%) – includes services per household, referrals, client service, and other related metrics.
  • Cash Drawer Balancing (20%) – maintain cash drawer in accordance with bank policy and procedure.
  • Compliance and Operations Evaluation (20%) – ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, CIP, audit, and security.
  • Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    • Perform daily office responsibilities such as account transactions, account maintenance, and customer correspondence.
    • Process new account requests and assist the Branch Manager and/or Relationship Banker in cross‑sell efforts to existing clients.
    • Identify current and future financial needs of clients during routine transactions and refer/fulfill sales to branch and strategic partners.
    • Process stop payments, wire transfers, check orders, special instructions, and other client service requests.
    • Assist with client account maintenance requests and any additional responsibilities as assigned.
    • Actively work with clients to identify financial needs and promoting appropriate banking solutions.
