Project Accountant

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a project accountant to join our Finance department.

• In this role you will partner closely with project managers and finance team members to ensure accurate, timely billing and support the financial health of projects.

Some travel may be required.

• Processing invoices for assigned department managers
• Creating projects in our accounting software, including billing terms and project budgets
• Investigating client payments and outstanding invoice inquiries
• Assisting with research and resolution of client questions
• Running standard reports
• Working closely with project managers and department managers to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting, and project billing
• Compiling and updating finance processes and procedures

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• An associate degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, business, or related field and two (2) years of relevant invoicing or billing experience
• If no degree, at least four (4) years of relevant invoicing or billing experience

• Experience with computerized financial accounting systems
• Knowledge of overall financial management
• Knowledge of engineering and architectural services
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision or Dynamics
• Knowledge of professional accounting practices

Salary Range: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set, or location.
