Overview
Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm with a global presence, serving clients across the U.S. and major financial centers.
Responsibilities- Be a trusted member of the engagement team, providing assurance and consulting services to middle‑market clients.
- Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to gather information and respond to questions.
- Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
- Review and perform substantive testing on client balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct and review tests to assess deficiencies of internal controls, making recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in discussions with Management and Partners regarding business recommendations derived from testing.
- Learn and grow from on‑the‑job coaching, mentoring, and firm‑wide learning programs.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong internal and client relationships.
- Support the growth of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
- 4‑year degree, CPA eligible.
- Three (3) years of professional experience (preferred).
- Strong skills in time management, communication, interpersonal relationships, collaboration, and problem solving.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, organizational, and analytical skills with initiative and adaptability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- CPA certification or actively pursuing completion of the CPA exam.
- Two (2)+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm.
