Job OverviewAsset Analyst – New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) Projects
Responsibilities- Monitor portfolio and address compliance and asset management issues during underwriting, closing, compliance period, and disposition of NMTC investments.
- Deliver reviews, comments, and work product related to pre‑closing and post‑closing financial models and construction budgets/draws.
- Manage compliance reporting for the client portfolio, ensuring data accuracy and mandatory mandates.
- Analyze community impact reporting and assess project and partnership risk factors per Section
45 provisions, allocation agreement requirements, and operating agreement conditions. - Establish working relationships with investors, lenders, borrowers, and financial partners; assist with annual community impact questionnaires.
- Maintain data integrity, monitor loan defaults, and ensure no mechanic liens or other encumbrances.
- Provide customer service and seek opportunities to extend Baker Tilly’s services beyond the current transaction.
- 4‑year degree.
- 1 year professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, economics, business, accounting, or related field.
- Two years experience in asset/portfolio management or real estate finance.
- Strong IT aptitude – proficient with word‑processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Strong financial analysis skills – ability to interpret borrower financial statements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self‑starter, resourceful, able to work independently and with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work in an evolving, team‑oriented environment and take on new challenges.
In Wisconsin, pay range: $62,000 – $95,610. Compensation is influenced by skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, and work arrangement. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees.
