Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

We are working on a Controller position for a regional bank in Madison. This position will play a huge part in planning/strategy for continuing to grow the bank and will really function as the right hand to the CFO. A nice perk is this role will get to take advantage of a great hybrid schedule!

• Assist CFO with financial activities and annual budget preparation
• Month-end close process including preparation and posting of journal entries
• Reviews and audits third party vendors and maintains current information on contracts with the bank
• Establish (in coordination with Leadership) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
• Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives
• Annually audits the reconciliation of all internal accounts
• Monitors portfolio for unusual transactions which may lead to purchasing or selling securities
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 6+ years of accounting experience
• Financial Services/Banking OR Public Accounting experience REQUIRED
• Strong attention to detail and organization
