Investments, Mortgage Loans Intern

• Review financial statements, rent rolls, and property inspection reports for portfolio loans
• Monitor and track upcoming loan events and derive new property valuations
• Analyze market data including vacancy rates, rental rates, comparable sales, and cap rates
• Prepare valuations using Argus software and direct capitalization proforma analysis
• Provide watchlist recommendations and follow-up actions to Servicing Manager, Loan Officers, and Portfolio Manager for underperforming loans
• Job shadow the origination process and underwrite new loan opportunities
• Assist with reporting, closing and servicing, and portfolio management processes
• Enter property financials into the loan management system
• Work on Excel projects and ad hoc projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Students pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later

• Working towards a relevant degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
• Well organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and develop professionally
• Preferred: pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major(s) in Real Estate or Finance
• Preferred: general understanding of real estate fundamentals and an introductory real estate course
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
