Community Services Specialist-Senior

The DIR is seeking a Community Services Specialist Senior to support the Division and provide programmatic guidance and review for initiatives and services provided. This position will liaison within the Division as well as other state and local agencies in addition to the public.

The Division of Intergovernmental Relations (DIR) within the Department of Administration provides a broad array of services to the public and state, local, and tribal governments. It supports counties, municipalities, citizens, and businesses by providing support services in land use planning, land information and records modernization, municipal boundary review, plat review, demography, and coastal management programs. We also work to strengthen the relationship between the State of Wisconsin and the governments of the state's 11 federally recognized Native American tribes.

Please note that all employees are expected to live and work in Wisconsin. This position will have the option of working remotely upon agreement of the supervisor but will be asked to come into the office periodically. Under supervision of the Plat Review Supervisor, this position provides programmatic, technical, and administration support for the statewide work performed by the Division of Intergovernmental Relations (DIR). This position will work with individuals, communities, non-profit organizations, and other government entities who are served by programs housed within the DIR at the Department of Administration. Primarily, this position will work with both Bureaus in the Division;

the Bureau of Resource Policy which houses the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program and the Land Information & GIS Programs, and the Bureau of Municipal Services which houses the Plat and Annexation Review Programs, the Demographic Services Program, and the Municipal Services Payments Programs. This position serves as a liaison within the Division, other state agencies, local governments, and the public on behalf of the Bureau of Municipal Services.

This is a 100% full time position where the incumbent will work no more than 40 hours a week.
