1). This position is located at Joint Force Headquarters in Madison, WI. Our convenient location is near Madison College and adjacent to the Dane County Regional Airport with access to major highways. The Real Property Specialist provides real property accountability for the Wisconsin Army National Guard (WIARNG) Construction and Facility Management Office (CFMO). Work is performed under the general supervision of the Planning & Programming Branch Chief. The Real Property Specialist plans and completes work tasks, resolves conflicts that arise, and coordinates the work with CFMO Staff, Department of Administration, and contractors. The position involves knowledge management for WIARNG’s 3,700 records of real property assets and supporting documentation, as well as conducting physical inspections at 82 sites across the State.

These facilities include 65 Readiness Centers, 10 Field Maintenance Facilities, and 198 supporting buildings for a portfolio value of approximately $2.4 billion. The Real Property Specialist reviews construction drawings and cost items to develop accountability records for all existing facilities and new construction projects. The Real Property Specialist interprets policy to complete established objectives and reviews work for accuracy and completeness in meeting federal real property requirements.

Ultimately this affects the mission readiness of approximately 7,500 Army National Guard Soldiers.

Starting pay is between $28.00 and $33.00/ hr.

This position is in the 07/04 pay schedule/range. A 12-month probation will be required.

For current permanent state employees, pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.
