The Cosmetology Instructor role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Madison, WI campus. The instructor will guide and mentor students through the cosmetology curriculum, delivering classroom lessons and hands‑on demonstrations in hair, nails, and skincare. Daily responsibilities include supervising students on the clinic floor, ensuring guest services meet school standards and state regulations, and providing constructive feedback to support skill development.

The role involves lesson planning, grading, maintaining accurate student records, and participating in staff meetings and ongoing training. The instructor will also promote a positive learning environment, model professional behavior, and help students build confidence, customer service skills, and readiness for careers in the beauty industry.

• Strong foundation in Cosmetology and Hair Care, with current practical skills relevant to salon and spa settings.
• Experience in Cosmetology Education and Teaching, including the ability to explain concepts clearly and support diverse learning styles.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating welcoming guest experiences and coaching students in professional client interactions.
• Active or eligible Wisconsin cosmetology license.
• Ability to manage a classroom and clinic floor safely and efficiently, including supervising multiple students and guests simultaneously.
• Strong communication, organization, and time‑management abilities, with attention to detail in recordkeeping and grading.
• Commitment to a positive, inclusive, and student‑centered learning environment, with a willingness to mentor and encourage learners at all skill levels.
• Previous experience in a salon, spa, or beauty education setting is highly beneficial; familiarity with salon business operations and basic social media use is a plus.
