Job Summary:

As a member of the UW–Madison Interprofessional Continuing Education Partnership (ICEP), the School of Medicine and Public Health Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) delivers accredited continuing education planned by, for, and with the healthcare team. OCPD collaborates with departments across the School of Medicine and Public Health, UW Health, the Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy, professional associations, and community-based organizations to advance the ICEP mission.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative professional who is passionate about planning and delivering high-quality, outcomes-driven continuing education for healthcare teams in an academic environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven setting and brings a strong commitment to educational excellence and innovation.

The successful candidate will:
Be a skilled project manager and education planner, meticulous about logistics, timelines, and compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies. Be comfortable working independently in web-based learning management systems and managing multiple projects simultaneously—on time and on budget. Thrive in a team-based environment, while also being self-directed and proactive. Demonstrate creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

This position is primarily responsible for providing full conference management services for 35+ accredited continuing education activities annually, including in-person and virtual conferences, workshops, and webcasts. These activities reach more than 70,000 healthcare professionals across Wisconsin, the U.S., and internationally. The workday includes:
Collaborating with OCPD staff and subject matter experts to design, develop, and execute educational activities. Managing the implementation of planned activities, including building and maintaining content in the ICEP Learning Portal. Navigating a variable workload—some periods may involve long lead times for a few activities, while others require preparing for multiple events in a short timeframe.
