Each summer, UW‑Madison hosts several residential Pre‑College academic experiences. The Youth Camp Night EMT is the main point of contact for minors attending camps at UW‑Madison over the summer. EMTs provide 24/7 coverage for first aid, triage and medication administration to children attending camps.

This position will work 11pm-7am to staff Health Offices on campus. Weekend rotations are required. Holidays and weekends are required. Due to camp needs, no time off requests can be granted June 28 through July 6.

QualificationsMust have an active EMT license (basic, advanced, paramedic) in the State of WI.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Competent in the use of computers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with campers and staff.
- Active EMT license in the State of Wisconsin.
- Performs routine vital signs, triage, basic tests, and administered medications.
- Performs administrative duties such as maintaining medical records, assisting campers by answering basic medical questions and if needed scheduling appointments.
Must be able to walk, run, climb stairs and move about the building emergently and as needed. This is a physical job where the incumbent is required to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs as needed, and do repetitive tasks.
