The Colonial Club Senior Activity Center, located in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, has been serving older adults for over 45 years across Northeast Dane County. Originally a social hub for active seniors, it has expanded to provide comprehensive services for individuals aged 55 and up. Programs include adult day care, case management, supportive home care, senior dining options, and a variety of activities and trips.
Additionally, the center offers banquet facilities and catering services for all age groups and special events.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nutrition Coordinator to join our team. The Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for the overall operations and management of the nutrition program. This includes congregate (onsite) and home delivered meals and all contracted and on site catering functions. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative and team oriented environment and engaging in meaningful support of older adults.
Coordinate all congregate (onsite) and home delivered meals for NE Dane County service area.
Coordinate, organize and implement all aspects of daily meal service, including preparation of the meal.
Procure all food and dry good supplies necessary for the nutrition program.
Communicate with the DeForest Senior Center coordinator for daily meal ordering, preparation and delivery.
Implement and assist with distribution of meals, including packaging of food and portioning of food while utilizing volunteers as necessary.
Clean up after meal preparation including washing dishes, pans and utensils.
Disinfect kitchen surfaces and home delivered meal coolers.
Keep written temperature logs for dishwasher, freezer, and refrigeration units.
Communicate with Dane County Nutritionist and Dane County Manager as necessary.
Enter data into Dane County designated database.
Maintain inventory and organized storage areas.
Work with suppliers for weekly ordering of food and supplies.
SkillsBasic computer knowledge
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience in properly using commercial kitchen equipment.
Must hold valid driver’s license
Serv Safe training
Organizational skills
Ability to work with occasional interruptions and in a fast paced environment
This role is vital in ensuring comprehensive nutritional needs of older adults are met at the onsite noon meal and for the home delivered meal program in NE Dane County.

- Qualifications
- Experience in Food Service with a focus on food preparation, handling, and service management
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging with staff, seniors, and community partners
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and work collaboratively within a team
- Previous experience in senior services, healthcare, or community programs is advantageous
