Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of clinical interventional imaging experience for a day-shift position at a Magnet-designated academic medical center in Madison, WI.
Responsibilities- Interventional Radiology unit at a Magnet-designated academic teaching and referral center in Madison, WI
- Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and intra-operative cases
- Utilizes multiple imaging modalities including fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI for diagnostic and interventional purposes
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM
- During holiday weeks only, schedule may shift to 4x10-hour shifts to fulfill 40 hours
- No weekends and no call required
- Travelers are first to float and may be assigned to multiple units or locations within the organization based on staffing needs; if the primary department no longer has a need, shifts will be reassigned to another department to complete the contract
- Candidate's permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the primary work site
- Collaborate with vascular interventional physicians and nurses to support diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Apply critical thinking skills when imaging a diverse patient population including pediatric and intra-operative cases
- On-site parking requires a permit through UW Transportation; alternative options include bus, park and ride, and private parking
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical interventional imaging experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required;
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred - ARRT Radiography (R) certification required;
Vascular Interventional (V) registry highly preferred - Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required
- State of Wisconsin Radiographer license required if applicable
- Neuro experience preferred
